Our fully equipped workshops enable us to carry out transmission diagnoses on both old and modern vehicles. Modern transmissions are often programmed by onboard computers. The computer sends messages to the transmission telling it when to change gear, but more importantly the computer can control the pressure of the transmission. If this is not reset in the correct way, the replacement transmission can change gear with firm shifts ( if the pressure is high) or slip and burn out if pressure is too low.

If you are not sure about the correct procedure or equipment needed, we strongly recommend that we carry out the complete job.

Our rebuilt transmissions rebuilt to the highest standards, OEM quality parts are used in our rebuilds when available, and the latest modifications known in the industry are automatically built in. This information is sourced by parts suppliers/manufacturers and other transmission rebuilders from around the world.

When a gearbox fails, there is normally a lot of debris , and because this debris is in the hydraulic system the oil cooler and lines become contaminated, the design of most coolers make cleaning a bit hit or miss. We strongly recommend a filter be fitted in the oil cooler return pipe ,to catch any rouge particles left in the system, They also help in the long term , collecting the very small particles generated by the box during its normal life thus preventing solenoid failure in computer controlled units.

Additional oil cooling must be fitted if the vehicle is to be used for any kind of towing or hard usage. The Fitting of an oil cooler prevents the commonest cause of transmission failure, Overheating. These kits can be fitted to 90% of vehicles. Average instillation time is only 1 hour. For vehicles with air conditioning the average instillation time is 2-3 hours.
